We are writing this to thank your company/organization for contributing financial/technical support to BarCamp Phnom Penh 2012, a biggest  unconference of IT and business in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

According to info obtained from our registration desks, over 1000 participants showed up at the event, which took place from 22-23 September 2012 at University of Puthisastra (UP) and over 1450 register online; this included attendees from Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore. This tech & business event is probably the largest one this year, and we’re delighted to get positive comments from attendees that they look forward to BarCamp Phnom Penh 6 next year.

The two-day of unconference was another success thank to the participation of Cambodian tech-enthusiasts, who are willing, open to learn. This event would had not taken place without our committed sponsors, contributors, media partners, supporters (from the region) and volunteers.

What’up in our First Day at BarcampPP5

It has been such a happy time in this morning as well as in the afternoon. Around more than 600 people came and there was very crowded queue at the registration desk. The opening hall stat around 9:30Am  and the session time happen from 10Am to 12 AM in morning before the break time that everyone can enjoy meeting with their friend and having lunch.

We also has a music performance by SWSB (Small World, Small Band) after the lunch around 1PM and at 2PM, we have a session again for the afternoon.

All sessions are filled with so many great topic from many Bbarcamper who present what they know, have passion in and willing to share.

There are around 25 people come for mini Barcamp PP.

Mr. Tep Sovichet, study grad 12 at Santhor Mok high school, had shared about google web font & blog, and his experience of involve in technology community and social activity and make him well-known in this community event if he just study at high school.

Mr. Chhem Pe, study at RUPP, year 3 had share about youth leadership and how he survive as a rural adult to study in Phnom Penh.

Mr. Sophat Chy had share his experience working with NGOs and youth community in the province.

And Mr. Be Chantra had shared about how to brand yourself as an individual, also his working experience both NGOs and Commercial sector and become independent freelancer.
